Continuous Improvement for Cost Savings in the Automotive Industry

Today’s manufacturing environment is characterized by rising production costs. Automotive companies are faced with a challenge of meeting the ever-changing customer needs at minimum possible cost. Reducing costs paramount importance for company to remain competitive in turbulent environment. How can automotive industry increase cost savings? This paper focuses on continuous improvement savings industry. was conducted an line using work-study technique. Time and method studies were one products. done under these objectives: identify excess raw material input non-value adding activities product line, determine current factory capacity, capacity utilization, implement improvements so as productivity. The daily target eight complete units per shift, research explored potentials increasing that little no number operators workstations. results demonstrate productivity 50% more workstation operator surface finishing station. successfully implemented now producing 12 shift.
